유토피아로 가는 길- 

길을 찾지 못한 자들의 체념이 안개처럼 자욱할수록 유토피아는 더욱 커진다. 문자(文字)는 사물의 형상에서 출발하여 고도로 절제되고 상징화된 이미지이며 지적사유의 결정체이다. 이는 지식과 문명의 정보를 은유하거나 상징하며, 들숨과 날숨처럼 리듬을 잃지 않고 기록하고 지우기를 반복한다. 그 사상의 광장에서 순간 드러난 모습들은 경계를 넘나들며 피는 들꽃이며 구부러진 산과 언덕, 스스로 길을 내는 강물과 말랑한 바람의 몸짓들이다. 이들은 비결정적인 선들로 표현되며 매우 가변적이고 불확실한 존재를 노출하고 있다. 선명하던 생명이 차츰 형태를 완화하며 사라지는 이치와 같다. 하여 어떠한 신념이나 형상도 시간의 흐름에 따라 이동하거나 수정되어야 할 근거가 있다. 넓은 바다에서 자유롭게 헤엄치는 물고기는 방향에 구속되지 않는다. 저기 몇 가닥의 난초 이파리마저 각기 다른 방향으로 자라고 있다. 정해진 길로 가는 것이 아닌 각자의 방향으로 갈 것과 출렁이는 바람같이 유연하여 관념에 고정되지 말 것과 쌓인 지식과 욕망을 아침 이슬처럼 지우거나 털어야 한다. 

The way to Utopia 

When the resignation felt by the people, who haven't found the way, grows thick like mist, Utopia becomes larger. The letters that started as figures representing shapes became highly controlled and symbolized images and crystalization of intellectual thinking. Letters express knowledge and culture information metaphorically or symbolically and they are recorded and erased repeatedly without losing rhythms like the way we inhale and exhale. The way they emerge in the space of thought is like wild flowers blooming in and out of boundary, curved mountains and hills, and motions of river making its own way and soft wind. They are expressed in non deterministic lines and they expose variable and uncertain beings. It is like vivid life disappears as it changes its form. So, any belief or shape has a base to be moved or corrected according to the sloshing of time. Fish swimming freely in wide ocean is not constrained by any direction. Several leaves of orchid grow in different directions. They are saying that it is the way to Utopia.
